Burgeys was a cold, dark and small stone Cornish Cottage, near the coast in North Cornwall. Our design team worked with the new owners to understand what they wanted to achieve with their renovation and extension project and came up with this wrap around design that saw long ignored external stone walls become a stunning feature within the new extension.

Tying together old and new perfectly, the restored stone walls add warmth to the large modern extension. Roof lights illuminate what would be darker areas of the new communal area, whilst the large opening through 3ft thick walls into the original living space, brings light into what is now a cosy snug.

Upstairs the renovation continued with a new bathroom, hand made balustrade and a new window to flood the hallway and stairwell with light. Repairing the damage accumulated over years and giving the rooms some TLC completed the project, creating a stunning and comfortable family home of which the owners are very proud.

We have returned to Burgeys to convert the old pig shed and look forward to sharing some pictures with you soon.
